In the small foyer of a fifties apartment designers Lynn Jacobson and Richard Orbach responded to the owners’ need for storage. A central hall with doors leading to the kitchen, bedroom, and living room was given new dignity as well as purpose with the invention of a circular space that houses a closet concealed by bookshelves.
