He’s coming along well with his learning.  It’s nice having someone around the house for more than merely during parties and little get-togethers like that who I haven’t hired to be there.  

It’s not all rainbows and sunshine, of course, but... surprisingly smoother than expected.  Not that the whole situation was anything I expected to happen this way at all.  But it has, and I’ll do a much better job taking care of the boy than some people I could mention.

Vlad’s head moves in the direction of Rowan’s voice, but his gaze is still a thousand miles in the distance.  There’s a moment of wind teasing around Rowan, but it’s mostly feeling his shape and ecto-signature, and dies off when the instinctive part of Vlad categorizes Rowan as ‘safe’.

He leans into the touch, not having his usual restraint to force himself to act more proper and stiff.

As a testament to all the hard work and practice he’d been putting in since the beginning of the year, Danny had no problem making a portal from Earthside to Zone, where it was still the easiest to hop verse to verse. Tracing out the trajectory of getting where he wanted to be took a bit more time, and a lot of visualization work with his mental picture of the Infimap.

Eventually, though, Phantom’s fingers caught on what felt like the right stitch, and Danny peeled through the dimensional film into another Amity Park. He flew through, invisible, before letting go and allowing the portal to close. Shaking tingling fingers, Phantom looked around, calling a soft Echo to feel if any ectosignatures bounced back in case the other was in ghost form, too.
