You could have the servant freak out because they actually summoned a demon. They try to send it back, but don't know how, so they have the demon do all of their work while they're trying to figure out how to send it back. Except the demon is really Whiny and drives the servant nuts, but it's a really good worker so the servant grows fond of it.
You my friend are a genius!! I just talked to my dad who loves horror fiction and I’m gonna give it a try!! Like the servant finds these weird markings on the floor and later on a book, and then he summons the demon. But the demon is a whiny, lazy ass so he finds a way of getting rid of it at last, just for someone else to find it!!
