Here are the in progress photos of the sash! I couldn't find a proper orchid color to save my life, so I chose a hot pink that worked well with the plaid for the skirt. For consistency's sake, I made sashes for my other two Flower Scouts so we'd be all matchy matchy. :p To make the sash, I used a tutorial by Something Turquoise. Hers was meant for a ribbon, but this is two layers of heavily interfaced cotton. I wanted it to be nice and sturdy for the patches. We're getting our own merit badges ourselves. I'm a little bummed that Tabii only has 4 while the other girls each have 6, but that's okay. :p Each sash is made from two interfaced pieces of cotton, 48"x5" with 1/2" seam allowances. The best part about these sashes is that in the process of constructing them, I discovered that joining the ends naturally creates a hidden pocket.
