i am NOT normal about these two. i like to headcanon that taranza unnerves and creeps out dreamlanders due to being a spider. this makes him feel isolated cus he isnt cute and soft and fuzzy looking like everyone else. daraoch is fuzzy, but rats are commonly believed to be dirty, disease ridden animals despite actually being very clean in reality!! both have reasons theyre disliked for just existing and kinda take comfort in each other. also the criminal x noble trope is mwah chefs kiss. also its said that taranza stole the dimensional mirror.. can u imagine daroach finding out taranza just casually stole an ancient relic?? taranza keeps daroach honest and out of too much trouble, and daroach encourages taranza's mischievous streak
