NOW AVAILABLE exclusively on Beatport: www.beatport.com/release/birds-swallow-ep/1392218 Having already done an exclusive remix for Secure, we welcome back Shinichi Osawa and present his new techno-infused 'Birds/Swallow EP'. As Mixmag's October 'EP Of the Month' we are ecstatic to see the ' '07-'08 golden era of electro veteran' step forward in these times of the trite and mundane mainstream. 'Birds' is a minimal-tech backyard rave with echoing chirps and a chainsaw riff that simple hands in the air would not suffice. An almost groove of rioting bleeps with a constant rolling baseline, you can't help but two-step with your eyes closed to hear it's dark message. On the B-Side we have 'Swallow', while complimentary to his first track, he builds taps and clicks all in the right spots. A catchy melody with intermittent claps and samples, your head nods automatically in sync. This brings the EP to create such a collective techno groove only Shinichi could execute. Our A&R Bart B More felt so inspired from the tracks he felt almost compelled to do the 'Swallow' remix. Blips and bleeps are the name of the game, with a drop of lo-fi envelopes and a hard rhythm only accurate described as a heart beat--the melody of the track proves just as electrifying as the rest of the EP.
