between heaven & earth &
Betwixt two rivers winding wheel smashes crane's wing between heaven and earth and
Betwixt lungs taut, beats courage in spite of fear, your blades cutting a path for light
Afternoon trembles
Fanged in afternoon
trembles, these elastic strikes
compose orchestral outrage
—
Discordant digits
fumble their good will, and catch
on harmony’s devoured word
Touch me in hollow
places; fill caves with your dear
treasure, watch me breathe you in.
Press your lips to scars;
chase the gloom from infinite
tunnels, set fire to this flesh.
quiet cacti bloom
desert storms do not deter
flowers blowing in the wind
flowers flowers find
remembering their needles
with time tears will surely close
