Nadia's older brother is the quiet anchor of their fractured family. He grew up watching the cracks form between their parents, seeing sides of Santiago and Ximena that Nadia never fully understood. Despite how close he and Nadia were and how concerned he was when their mother moved Nadia away to California, he was loyal to their father and protective of the family legacy. He witnessed Ximena's manipulation and infidelity and recognised the way Santiago struggled with his own demons, especially alcohol, yet tried to hold the family together. You may find it easier to read Nadia's bio to get a bit of a better picture of their family storyline.

His personality and storyline otherwise is entirely up to you, but I kind of envision him being grounded, principled and observant.. protective of those he loves. I picture them close growing up but maybe their relationship has fractured a little by distance over the years. Maybe there's even low key resentment that she never made an effort with their father when he tried to reach out before he died.

𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒆:

They have a beautiful Abuela named Tomasa Torres who their father most likely lived with this whole time.

They didn't grow up with much money, though the motel has been in their name for a few generations.

Their father passed away six months ago. I haven't listed a reason as to why their father died, but it's something I'll either add in over time or something we can decide together.

Their father left the family home in Southpoint to his son, and the motel to Nadia, hoping it would bring her home.

I am open to him being a half sibling, sharing a father. I'm even open to a twin brother if we can make it work!

I imagine they still connected throughout the years, but distance played a role — however, I'd love to hear your ideas!

I also have a potential plot for a secret half sibling, if it works.

Triggers: Infidelity  The background of this character is completely UTP, the only non-negotiable is that he’s married. I imagine he and Maya met a couple of years ago and their “relationship” has been on and off ever since, maybe sometimes it ended because he felt guilty, maybe sometimes she ended it because it got too complicated. At the end of the day though, they keep falling back into it with each other. His reasoning behind the affair is completely up to you into what works best with his character and personality. For Maya, she’s a very jaded character who thinks the universe did her dirty when she had been a decent human. Now, she feels that if the universe fucked with her, it can fuck with other people and she can do what she wants. She wouldn’t have set out for an affair, but it wouldn’t have been the deterrent it should’ve been when she found out. In my head, Maya doesn’t love him but enjoys their situation because of the feeling it gives her. It spices her life up and makes her feel alive. Eventually the guilt would get to her, but I’d love this to be a collaboration as to why. This is a huge chemistry based connection for me so we can discuss whether the affair continues to be ongoing or ends. There is a lot up for discussion for us to agree together.

This connection is really open to taking on lots of different directions, tbh! I’d be happy to brainstorm alllllll the things!!! But basically, I’m looking for someone who Dre dated while he was living in San Francisco. They don’t have to have lived in San Fran, bc he’s rich enough, traveling to come see them would have been easy, but it would be preferable. Honestly, everything about their relationship is up in the air! But when CivIQ was bought and totally corrupted, Dre spiralled and that’s around when things between them ended. Maybe she ended it, because he was so bitter and depressed and was self-sabotaging everything. Maybe he ended it, because he couldn’t stand the thought that he could ruin something else so important in his life (their marriage). Maybe, the sale just exposed that they really weren’t right for each other! Maybe, after the sale he was in a toxic headspace and started drinking a lot and he cheated, maybe she cheated!!! Again, truly open for anything! But I’d love all the angst and anger and hurt and just all the feelings!!!

Summer and her sister have always been close, and in a lot of ways she took on the role of a parent and best friend. When their mother left and their father grew absent due to a growing alcohol addiction, Summer was forced to grow up fast. Working two jobs by the time she was sixteen, she took on the role of the provider and always made sure that there was food on the table and a roof over their head. Even if that meant living at Flamingo Trailer Park (something she often hid from her peers at school)

While they've since grown up and Summer has gotten married, nothing has ever gotten in the way of their bond. And in a lot of ways, she still provides and looks out for her sister who is still living in their old trailer. When Summer and her husband fight, she often spends the night at the trailer. I imagine them to still be just as close as they always have been and Summer would do absolutely anything to protect her. In terms of the sister's personal life, I am happy to discuss but would imagine she's still struggling in some capacity. Maybe part of her has gotten used the way things are!

BACKGROUND

Basically, Levi was stationed in Sedona after destroying his professional golf career, by his own doing at a chaotic, major pre-tournament party. It basically de-railed his whole successful career. This connection I am looking for is his agent ( we can make it be current or former ) from his management team. Even since the incident, I still have him with a basic team in place, despite losing sponsorship deals and etc. as a result. He’s been waiting in limbo since coming to Sedona, hoping that maybe he’ll have an another chance at getting his career back, but has been rapidly losing hope as time goes by.  He eventually was given a second chance by the Parks, becoming a part of management at Sedona Springs Country Club and enforcing/being a major player in the pro-development business and deals in Sedona. ( whether that’s a good or basically torture for him since he constantly finds himself facing the golf courses well, that’s a battle he deals with. )  Now with this agent connection, I imagine before everything fell apart, there were developing romantic implications there and of course he’s missed her but maybe hasn’t reached out or has. Maybe they were hooking up on the dl in a forbidden-ish way but with everything that occurred, it all fell apart because of how it blew up in the sports media world for a while. We can talk about whether they kept in touch or not. Or she just shows up in Sedona, as part or has quit his current team that he has ( despite it being very small now ), I want to still keep it open so you can mainly have free reign of what she’s been doing since herself. Whether she comes to see him, for a job opportunity, we can speak about it further and i’m so excited to do so and have this connection develop/evolve over time! ♡

Triggers: pregnancy, miscarriage, injury. Your character and Kiraz met when they were young ( in high school ). They spent the majority of the last few years of high school together and eventually got married right out of high school. It was a fairytale and they were very much in love. The following years had them going through trials and tribulations with big changes in their lives in the form of career and trying to have a family. The stress of not being able to conceive and the stress of an accident Kiraz sustained during her job was the start of their downfall. She was a paramedic at the time and fell down a flight of stairs with a patient, tearing her shoulder and back muscles. At the time, she didn't realize she was pregnant and the fall also brought a miscarriage.  Following that, she began to drink a lot and it was a main reason for their split ( or divorce ). This is what's set in stone but I have a lot of ideas to add. I'd love for them not to be divorced but just estranged and we can go through the whole angst and fight over the divorce.Make it a little sad, toxic, angsty, all the good things. I imagine there's a lot of unfinished business and a lot of routes we can go from there. Whether they end up hating each other or not is all the fun!

BACKGROUND

This connection can really go so many different directions! I wanted to leave it open-ended so that we can kind of really create the vibe together! But! Basically, Dre is a super successful tech bro. He has developed and sold multiple apps that have made him incredibly wealthy. Over the last ten years though, he poured his heart and soul into creating, developing and growing an app called CivIQ (pronounced civic), a social justice app focused on connecting underserved communities with the resources that might not be readily available or accessible to them. It was a labor of love for him and something he felt was truly his passion in life. 

Recently, he was approached by a huge tech company who wanted to buy the app. They did a fantastic job of presenting themselves as in alignment with Dre’s core values and that by selling to them, he would be allowing the app to have more reach and help more people than it could if he owned it.  

Enter your character. Your character was someone really close to Dre, they could be a business partner, a mentor, a close friend, even a romantic partner, someone who he talked about things with and appreciated and respected their advice. Dre went back and forth on the decision to sell CivIQ, but after prompting from your character, finally agreed to sell. And that’s where shit hit the fan. Shortly after the sale, the company started selling the app’s services to corrupt governments, allowing them to use it for voter suppression, surveillance of people who spoke out against the government, etc. The exact opposite of what the app was created to do. 

Dre was devastated. Not only did he hate that what he had created was being corrupted, but he felt like he had now given such a powerful tool to the very people he had created the app to fight against. He felt guilty, angry, hurt, all of the negative emotions. Normally, he would brush off the influence your character had in making the decision. He is an adult after all, and while he got advice, he made the decision on his own. However, I would really love it if there could be SOMETHING that makes him suspect that your character was maybe incentivized to convince him to sell. It could be completely false, but I love drama and want there to be a reason for these two falling out lol 

Maybe your character actually was incentivized by the company who bought CivIQ, maybe the company just approached your character about it & they turned them down but now there’s evidence about the meeting, I’m totally up for brainstorming this, but I just want there to be something that made Dre feel like your character sold him out in a way. 

Now, as to why your character is in Sedona, that is totally up to you!! Could be they are also from Sedona, maybe they have family there, maybe they just wanted to get away from the crazy tech world of San Francisco (where Dre & this person were when all this went down with CivIQ) and thought Sedona with its’ gorgeous scenery would be a good escape, whatever floats your boat!!! I think after the fall out between your character and Dre, Dre cut all communication & went completely MIA. No one knew he’s gone back to Sedona, so your character doesn’t need to know he’s here either! Could be a complete coincidence! Or maybe they tracked him down! Whatever!
