On the Run
Cont X
She is in so much trouble.
It’s a wonder that her marriage has lasted as long as it has. Being forced to wed a man more than ten years older than her because of her mother’s own agenda was sickening as much as it was debilitating.
He was hurting her. The bruises on her body say as much but the way he’d run his hands along her and kissed her is her own form of torture she won’t ever erase.
She didn’t mean to kill him. She was terrified of what he would do to her and she reacted on a whim, grabbing the glass bottle beside their nightstand and smashing it against the back of his head.
That’s how she ended up crawling into the window to Abigail’s apartment, her mind reeling as she pants against the wall, holding her head in her hands.
“Fuck.” Is all she can manage while tears cloud her vision, shaking her head hard because what the hell is she going to do now? “I– I didn’t mean to.”
Abigail was half asleep, nearly jumping from her bed as she heard someone crawl through her window, thank god she had a bat next to her bed, living in an abusive home life with her sad excuse for a father, made her cautious that way. Although some might call it paranoid.
But when she realized it was just Regina she placed her hand on her chest and sighed in relief as her heart was beating faster. Abigail knew of the troubles her friend was having and she thought Cora was sick. Abigail placed the bat down back beside her bed and got out to comfort Regina. She placed her hand on Regina’s shoulder’s. “Hey this is me you’re talking to, what happened?”
