The last few weeks had been, awesome. Yeri had finally been able to text and call Maru again! Though she had kept it down, for her, it was obvious Maru had threatened multiple times to block her again. Of course he could, but he hadn’t yet... That was amazing! She had over time made her number of calls less, instead opting to text Maru simple things about her day and asking him about his. Every now and again she also sent a picture, when she got coffee or when she was studying for example.
However, of course the happy times were never meant to last forever. Her father had always been opposed to Yeri following Maru around, but had never put his foot down about it. He did really treat her like a princess after all. He also didn’t think it would turn into something, he thought it was just a simple crush that girls her age would have. Typically falling for a bad boy or whatever. But a simple check in from one of the underlings proved it was more than that, and he started making it very clear to Yeri that he opposed the relationship. Their families had been at war and he emphasized that, as well as things he found problematic in Maru. To Yeri though it was just her father being protective of her, so she paid it little mind. Their arguing about it continued over a week, however things changed when one day Yeri was called out of her school. The senior left her classes to be picked up by a few of the underling of her father, in the car meeting one of his close secretaries she had known almost all her life who handed her her father on the phone. Urgent matters had suddenly presented themselves, and she had to be in charge of things in Seoul with the secretary while her father was abroad. She had to hold their backline and when assistance was needed send out information or men, whatever they needed. Realistically, there wasn’t much that could happen considering how organised they were but nonetheless it was a great responsibility, and a lot of leadership to suddenly receive. Especially as a very large number of their organisation had been sent out with her father, if they didn’t keep security tight or gave the impression that they were an easy target in this moment there could be trouble. Mostly though, she felt it would be a test of whether the men would follow her lead when her father wasn’t around.
And so the days started passing by, in which suddenly her contact with Maru had stopped. A week passed in which she hadn’t been able to attend to her classes, receiving her homework through a pickup of one of the men and doing it whenever she had a spare moment. She didn’t attend her dance classes, instead taking extra martial training lesson with her trainer. The rest of her time, she was keeping things running in Seoul. Whatever business they had going on there had to continue and whenever assistance was needed she had to be prepared to send it. She was constantly alert, and all of a sudden a totally different Yeri had become present. Her bubbly personality gone, making place for a cold and charismatic image.
It was another day as such, on which she attended their organisations business. All of a sudden though, a familiar face entered her field of vision. Maru. For a split second her mask broke, only to ignore him right away as she pretended not to see him. Though she felt incredibly guilty that she couldn’t be next to him at these times or honest to him, she figured though it was for the best... Maru wanted her to be mature and able to take care of these things easily, she had to keep going.
