♔:. Slate iris narrowed in the dim lighting of the basement. Levi kept his arms loosely crossed over his chest but his fingers were gripping his own jacket a little too tightly. White knuckles seemed to turn even whiter and if Erwin had looked at him, he would have known something was wrong. But if Erwin asked, would Levi even truly be able to answer that question? He himself didn't know what else was going on with him.
As he leaned against the cool stone wall, he felt a certain urge to step closer to the cage and see the Omega that was caged inside. However, he knew he couldn't do that; not yet anyways. Levi side glanced over at Erwin before turning his back to the cage. His brow furrowed in thought as his lips pulled back ever so slightly over his clenched teeth. Being an alpha wasn't something that meant anything to Levi. Of all these years, he ignored every instinct of his 'animal' side and it had been fairly easy to do.
That was until now.
Even with Eren being completely unconscious, Levi could still smell all his pheromones. It sent shivers down his own spine and made his skin crawl. He wanted to do nothing but attack the boy. Shaking his head, he uncrossed his arms and rubbed at his temples. Air, he needed air. Levi side glanced at Erwin and a thought flashed in his mind.
Did Erwin feel the same? Surely not. Erwin had better control over his Alpha side unlike himself.
Levi knew he couldn't just walk out of the dungeon without reasoning. Erwin would want to know why he left. Damn, he was stuck here until Eren woke up. Levi thought about holding his breathe but they weren't sure when Eren was going to wake. They had only been told that he was most likely going to wake up sometime today. The only reason they were here was so Erwin could make a deal with Eren as to prevent the shifter from being executed.
Executed. Eren in danger..
Levi could have nearly hissed in thought. Of course, he only clenched his jaw instead and took a deep breathe. He shouldn't be so protective over someone he didn't know. Besides, he didn't have time for trivial things such as finding a mate, nesting and bonding. He had other things to worry about. Levi shut his eyes and thought about the titans that existed outside the walls, thought about anything else. Minutes ticked by and his method was working. The lingering smell of the Omega passed without notice.
In order to keep up his method, Levi had only spared a single glance at the boy inside before keeping his eyes away and turned to the side. It was a good thing Erwin would be doing most of the talking. Levi was unsure what words would come out of his mouth if he had to speak to the boy just on the other side of the bars.
