This time, last year, I was offered my first out-of-(tri)state show. Was told that if I did the work, my next record would be big. In response, I sold half my belongings, packed the rest in an '02 Pontiac & drove to Columbus, OH. A few local gigs later, I found a recording studio & arranged a weekly schedule. Eventually, I worked night shifts at a local bar in Cincinnati to keep the Wi-Fi on. Months later back in the Midwest from a show in CT, I returned to losing my license, my job at the bar, & totaling my hooptie- in that order. It's been 7 months since my last night shift and last night's studio session ended 5am this morning. Album 3 is done. 2017 has since been full of impromptu live hip hop sets, acoustic living room sessions, strangers turned vibers & listeners turned believers. Peace to those I've met on these travels and the inspiration y'all offer. BigUP everybody that was involved in these shows. Infinite raspect to those who continue to come out.
