Originally made for Fanime 2013's Black & White Ball, but they wouldn't let me in literally because my knees weren't covered. Even tho the dresscode online said that exceptions would be for the formal versions of characters, whatever. So SacWinter'14 ended up being its actual debut.

I made it as a surprise for my Squall at the time, since we had yet to take any photos together and he mentioned liking this version of Rinoa. He no-showed LOL. But our other friend made it as Laguna, so the shoot we booked ended up being more of a Meeting the In-Laws hahahhaha.

The dress is way simple. Two layers of cream colored cotton with a sheer trim and ribbon halter neckline that ties in the back. I didn't even put in a closure LOL It'd probably be easier if I did, but as usual, I procrastinated and made it last minute.

Found these hanging off some limbs that fell off the nearby pine (?) tree, I can't find anything quite like them from a cursory google search. Was hoping they could help me better identify the tree (and mayhaps some magickal properties).

Sydney’s plane trees are known as both a shading delight and a breathing blight, but at this time of year, the rock hard seed balls are the toys of Corellas. They nip them off and drop them on car bonnets and passing innocents.

They dent cars and hurt locals.

I live in a part of Sydney that is resplendent in Plane Trees, and it is normally October and November that cause drama when the seed balls explode and choke locals.

This morning a flock of hundreds of corellas descended on the trees and gathered the unripe seed balls to bombarded houses and cars.
