REAL FOOD DAILY
516 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica CA
Real Food Daily was our first stop on our vegan LA food trip so you could just imagine how excited my friends and I were, especially after hours of long driving. It’s not really in LA, it’s in Santa Monica, but still close enough of a drive. The verdict? I have to say, Real Food Daily did not only disappoint, it wowed us. My friend Rosie…

I always love finding vegan restaurants close by where I live that I didn't know were there. Last weekend we discovered Seed Kitchen an all organic vegan and macrobiotic restaurant in Venice (which is also very close to the boardwalk). The restaurant is order at the counter and get your food delivered to your table style which is nice and casual. I also love the big community tables where it's encouraged to sit next to people you don't know. Mikey got the breakfast burrito which was full of tofu scramble and other goodies and pressed like a panini.
It was a solid breakfast burrito but lacked something like tempeh bacon and potatoes as well. I'm actually sick of restaurants serving breakfast burritos with beans and rice in them but no potatoes. Without potatoes it's just a regular burrito! I got the pressed kale salad that was full of flavor with tamari almonds on top.
Love this salad as kale is no good unless its pressed or massaged with lots of dressing. I also got the barbecue tempeh bowl which came with brown rice, collard greens, cucumbers and carrots. I felt super satisfied and full but also healthy.
I can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu - especially their burgers which sound out of this world! They also have a plethora of desserts that I was too full to think about. The owners of Seed also had another location in Hollywood called Seed Bistro which is a more upscale and fancy place but are currently closed until they find a new location. Can't wait to check them out when they reopen as well!
