In the seedy beach town of Neptune, California, nothing is ever what it seems. The rich get richer, and if you’re rich enough, you can usually pay your way out of whatever crime of the week you’ve found yourself guilty of. A classic class war between the 09ers, the PCHers, and everyone stuck in-between, trying to find some solid ground. A sheriff with no skill, a software executive who knows how to cover things up, deputies who don’t really know what they’re doing; this town is anything but functional.
The crime rate in Neptune has sky-rocketed over the last year, after the ousting of the PCHer’s old leader, causing even more of a stir in the underbelly of the seedy little beach town, and turning everything upside down. But, in a town where corruption is key, what can you do? Pull up a stool at the Neptune Grand Bar and knock a few back -- nothing’s changing anytime soon.
