So...If you only wanted to attract kind, non-manipulative type Fae.. How would you go about that beyond offerings? Could you say, "Only nice Fae/entities are welcome here, and any who have ill-intent must leave and never return." Or would that be considered offensive and a no-no? I'm scared to death of Fae but if there /are/ nice and friendly ones then I wouldn't mind them. I just don't want to breach into any nasty territory. Also!! Would you happen to know how to ward off bad Fae? Thanks!

So the thing about faeries is that they’re all mischievous and can very well screw you over even if they don’t intend to. Once you start paying attention to them, then you’ve opened yourself up to any and all fae. You wanna offer to all three courts (Seeli, Unseeli, and Wild) so that they can like you. And naturally, if they like you then they won’t mess with you. Trying to pick out faeries is like inviting some to a party and outwardly telling the others that they’re not allowed to come over. Which pisses that group off. And will likely be visiting anyways with ill intentions.

What you DO wanna do is specifically ask that they do no harm to you, and a couple ways I know is:

1- Make a sigil. Put it on yourself, your clothes, your home or whatever, and be sure you charge it with your energy every now and then. It can act as a guardian if done well as I myself have a sigil taped next to my front door.

2- Keep iron close. Now this will ward off all faeries, but you will at least have no bad faeries. Just keep in mind they may get offended by this.

3- Talk to one of the Celtic deities and have them act as a guardian. Try Brigid, she’s a stern woman. Or the Morrigan, but she’s pretty scary herself. Just realize that you would have to give them offerings too.
