“i told you not to do it, but NO. why would you listen to me?” | @seengalaxies for jim.
@seengalaxies for Calliope Leonard emits a low whistle.
Living and working in space has opened his eyes to the sheer vastness of infinite diversity, including a seemingly endless array of religion, tradition, and societal patterns that revolve as tirelessly as the celestial bodies themselves. What surprises him, time and time again, is how similar to home so many places can seem, during ‘this time of year.’
Whatever that means.
Honestly, he figures this starbase only seems so full of hustle and bustle because he hasn’t been around so many people at once in such a long while. Leonard thought it might stress him out, but there’s something about it he enjoys.
“Hope you got yourself a list,” he tells his companion, turning his head to face her and waiting to have her attention before speaking. Here, where it’s so loud, he knows he’ll have to be especially mindful. And best check it twice, he adds, but silently. He’s in a fine mood today, but it’s perhaps a little early to be so jolly. Leonard knows he should pace himself.
@seengalaxies filed a report.
“ have you eaten today? ”
odo stopped and thought. the thought took a good deal longer than was usually agreed upon as necessary for remembering one’s breakfast.
“ ah, ” he said, nodding firmly. “ yes, i did. moba fruit, in fact. ”
he carried on. but the reminder that a single piece of moba fruit may not, in fact, constitute a full breakfast picked at his mind. it had seemed fine at the time, but now that jadzia had mentioned it... he was feeling a little light-headed. odo sighed and neatly put away the criminal activities report on the desk.
“ i... don’t suppose you would care to join me for lunch, would you, commander? ”
@seengalaxies got a vaguely plotted starter.
Foam washed up against her ankles as she walked up from the sea to meet the federation representative. When the first explorers from that part of the universe came upon this planet, it was about fifty years ago. She couldn’t have been more than thirty years old. And now she was something of an ambassador. Scales trailing down her legs, dark eyes meeting his. “I was told there was a war?” She was told more than that, but she wanted to see just how much he would tell her.
@seengalaxies ( amrah ) liked for a first time interaction starter!
Willow’s tired. It happens, sometimes, you know. Tired... uh... tiredness, or whatever, hitting all of, like, her. But even tired, you have to keep it all up, right? Even tired, you gotta run, you gotta Gate, you gotta move, so she steps into a sea of squiggly colors and warping proportions, and the Gate stabilizes and leads her to the end, and the sky spits her out and she’s falling to the ground, her skull meeting the corner where floor and wall join, her back sliding up against the wall. “Ow.” Eloquent and descriptive, as always, and-- oh... oh big shit, someone’s looking at her. Her smile comes out as a grimace, but it’s upside down, so maybe they, like... can’t tell. “O... oops. You didn’t, uh.” Uncomfortable laugh. “You didn’t, like... see that, right?” That being her Gating into existence, of course.
@seengalaxies → starter call !
“Mm. No offence, sweetheart ... but you really don’t look old enough to be here. Where’s your mom? Or your dad?”
@seengalaxies love the goo
❝ do you think odo would let you take me for a ride in the runabout ? you know, for EDUCATIONAL purposes ? ❞
@starshealed, ❪ i don’t like to talk about it. ❫
‘ why? ’ her brow furrows at that & she tilts her head. she is curious, but she won’t press if aella doesn’t want to talk about it.
Why. So simple, so honest. So confused. It was almost... endearing. A gentle expression, warm water, washing over her face as she contemplates.
Why.
Hands against each other, falling and rising. Signing. ( What is the point of speaking about that which has already passed? )
