Inspired by my RL... Hair
I had a rough December. So did my hair, which is very long (As in I have to sweep it aside to sit down when it it's loose and in good shape.)
Anyway, it got so matted I had to go sit in a salon for several hours today while the stylist and her assistant tried to detangle it. They were trying hard to be gentle and I was comfortable, but it still hurt and felt like it took foreeeeever.
(I have had very very tangled hair before. This was on another level. I walked in to the appointment I had made specifically for my detangling my matted hair, and the stylist said, in shock, "your hair is locked!")
And that was after, like, one month of not taking care of it. It wasn't even particularly dirty.
