In almost all of Panama and Costa Rica you will find places called Lavanderias 🧺 They are wash saloons where you pay per kg (lbs) of dirty laundry to get it washed, dried and folded on the same day. Prices vary by location but we never payed more than 10-15$ for all our joint laundry. Sometimes even hostels offer this service. It sounds quite luxurious to not having to wash it yourself but we haven't found many public wash saloons hence this was the best option for us. . . How to get around on Isla Colón 🚲🏝 Read below 👇🏼 . . Pro Tip: Rent E-bikes, NOT normal bikes. 🏍 There are a few places you can rent bikes. The first time we rented regular city bikes and cycled to Bluff beach. While it wa doable, the quality of the bikes was quite bad and the quality of the roads made it even worse. Since they usually don't have gears, you also have very limited places you can take them since it gets quite step on some parts of the roads. . . The second time we rented E-bikes with fat tires from @bocasebikes, which was the best decision we could have made. Do this hike on a cloudy day, they said.. 🌥🧐 . . Well, the weather forecast showed clouds for the whole day and even slighly lower temperatures (27°C instead of 30°C). So we set out at 11am on a roughly 3,5h hike up to the highest point of Taboga Island. After about 30mins of hiking, the sun bursted through the clouds and it was meeeelting hot. We finished the hike anyway AND THE VIEW WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! 😍 What's the best hike that you have done so far?
