Ask the mun about his writing
2. Besides writing, what other creative outlets do you have?
I like to doodle in my spare time! Admittedly, though, I’m not all too good at it, and I’m incredibly sloppy with it t bh lmao
4.Have you always liked to write and at what age did you start?
Honestly, I think I started to write willingly ( as in, outside of school assignments ) when I was about… 10? Maybe 11? I can remember hating it immensely because I used to feel like it was a chore lmao. School ruins a lot of things for me.
6. How do you find inspiration to write when you can’t seem to find your muse?
Rain. And if it’s not raining? Listen to audio on youtube.
Drown myself in the sound of rain, add misc. noises in the bg, maybe go shower, and then I’m usually good to go.
Then again this is like a 50-50 shot of working. Most of the time it does, but when it doesn’t I just give up and wait lmao.
8. How has roleplaying, specifically, impacted your life?
It gives me a distraction, so to speak. I’ve got way to many thoughts in my head ( a majority on the negative side, sadly ), and this kind of gives me a lowkey way to get them all out in a manner in which I don’t have to?? bother anyone with them.
10. How many muses do you have and which do you relate to most? Why?
I have way too many muses t bh. Counting off the top of my head… idk man I got to about 11 but I know I have more than that.
As for which I relate to the most… I’d have to say it’s Rin Matsuoka.
I mean, despite being the same age as him, he’s honestly been through so much stuff and??? He was angry and didn’t control his emotions as normally as he would in the first season of Free!. He let everything escape him out of a spite, and kept that grudge until he was cornered ( cornered being used in the sense that someone actually confronted him and dragged him out of his ‘anger’ ). But, when we see him in season 2, he still has some of that anger quality to him, and he’s now dealing with everyone’s problems, he has a lot of huge expectations put on him, he’s dealing with mild depression, and he still managed to keep himself as well as others in check, while not letting his own issues get in the way.
It’s not so much that we’ve been through the same things, but moreso the fact that we have the same behaviors, if that makes sense?
12. Is there a quote from a piece of literature that holds great value to you? What is it and why is it important to you?
To quote hamlet act III scene iii line 92, “no”
I took Shakespeare last year and read the play I have a right to use this joke.
In all seriousness, I can’t really recall one right now that really struck home with me, but I am more than certain that I have read a line in the past that really got to me.
14. What are your fears when it comes to writing online?
Ah geez,,, that’s a touchy question, in all honesty, because there are a lot of things I’m afraid of. Like, I can either lie and say I have no fears, or I can just admit to the fact I honestly have this really stupid?? fear of not being good enough. But, with that, there comes the fact that I’ve met several people who have said my writing isn’t compatible with theirs, and that I should tone it down in order for them to solely be able to write with me.
I did, and it wound up fucking with my writing completely; I’m no longer satisfied with it anymore, and, while people tell me they like it, I dread the moment they turn around and suddenly tell me that it’s no longer reaching their expectations.
I shouldn’t really care, since it’s my writing, but it’s because of the fact I don’t like it anymore that I do care about what others think; it gives me a bit of security, if that makes sense.
16. What inspired you to start writing?
Aight I’ll give you the rundown: I was reading a book, thought it was neat as fuck, and decided I wanted to try writing independently. That’s literally all there was to it– the fact an author could put their emotions down on paper in the form of a story and people enjoyed reading it was??? incredible to me. It still is.
18. What made you want to join the roleplaying community?
I had gotten??? bored of writing fanfics, so I decided to take up this strange thing that I’d seen people do often. I didn’t realize there was a huge thing to it at the time, but I certainly don’t regret joining. Well, most of the time.
20. Who are your top three favorite fictional characters and why?
Rin Matsuoka, Tsukishima Kei, and Kanji Tatsumi.
Rin was explained as to why back up in question… 10.
With Tsukki, he’s just?? kind of the same situation as Rin– I relate to him a lot. I pick out small things of his character that he’s good at hiding ( much like Iwaizumi here ), and then I can see why he acts the way he does. In all honesty, I feel like he’s bother underrated, but people hold too high an expectation of him as well.
And Kanji honestly holds a place near and dear to my heart because what other characters in Persona 4 ‘tease’ him about honestly pisses me off ( to those that don’t know, Kanji kind of?? has a gay scare, in a sense, and then in turn kind of questions his sexuality– he struggles with it a lot, and everyone kind of just teases him about it every so often ). He likes to sew and knit things yet also looks like he could be the leader of a biker gang but is a total fucking nerd and needs to be protected at all costs.
