                    tsukki could be such a grouch. if they were characters from christmas movies, tadashi was probably buddy the elf and tsukki would definitely be the grinch. but just like buddy, he was determined to get his friend into the holiday spirit.

felt big hands grazing her cheeks, she didn’t mean to tear up so badly. just meant so much to her. her first present; couldn’t believe he even got her something. yachi was sure to wear this everyday even if it wasn’t winter.

                    they’re practically holding hands ! oh man oh man, and as if that wasn’t stomach flipping cute enough, now her soft lips are brushing against the back of his hand. tadashi’s finally past that point of nerves and embarrassment, and his mess of a mind has calmly settled on how much he likes her.

He took big steps and walked with his head held high to the night sky. What a good day this was! Yuu turned around to start walking backwards so he could look at Tadashi while they walked together. The moment he heard the last sentence the libero tilted his head. He didn’t understand what he meant and that made Yuu a bit confused. 

                      “Strong? But you’re already strong Yamaguchi?”

                     now nishinoya’s just being ridiculous. tadashi looks to the side, shoulders scrunched high and anxious hands shoved into his pockets. he hates getting into how weak he feels compared to the rest of his teammates and he definitely isn’t looking for a pity party, but he really isn’t that skilled compared to the other first years. noya should know that.  

                    ❛ you know what i mean — ! kageyama is a genius setter, and tsukki’s so tall and a great blocker even when he isn’t trying at all, and hinata can jump and do those amazing freak quicks ! ❜ oh man, he’s so embarrassed right now.  ❛ and i’m the only first year who isn’t a regular. that’s why i’m trying so hard to get better. ❜

all in all it wasn’t really his fault - he had never slept well during training camps and this one was no different. so hajime did what he always did, go to the vending machine and get something sugary or something with lots of caffeine to keep him from falling asleep during training. 

this time however he saw he wasn’t the only one there, as he could spot karasuno’s 12 standing there as well.

                    indecisive would be the perfect word to describe tadashi. i mean  — he’s a lot of things. but that one really hits home at the moment, the boy practically glaring at the vending machine trying to pick out what he wants to eat. sort of wants everything, but that wouldn’t be healthy and he’s sure that would leave everyone pretty peeved in the morning. 

                    he shouldn’t even be eating at this hour anyway, but being away at training camp with such intimidating teams had made him lose his appetite for dinner earlier and now he’s paying the price. tadashi’s stomach feels like it’s eating itself.

                    ❛ hm — ? ❜ greatgreat, here comes aoba jousai’s ace. scary.  ❛ oh, yeah... couldn’t sleep, wanted a snack. ❜ or an entire meal.  ❛ but i’m not sure what to get. ❜

                   “Well before that lets get going. I’m really tired and I need something to cool down!” 

He sighed and shook his head as he started to walk out of the gym after locking it behind them. Yuu turned over to Yamaguchi and smirk widely. It was the first time they had ever went off by themselves other than the taller going with Tsukishima. It kinda made him happy to get to know his kouhai.

                   “First off Your serves are getting way better! I’m sure you’ve noticed!!”

                    tadashi looks to the door where tsukki is waiting for him, nodding for him to go on without him. this would be his first time hanging out alone with nishinoya and he’s hoping it won’t be too awkward, but then again he’s awkward, so his hopes aren’t too high. bag thrown over his shoulder, he follows the older outside the gym. it’s warming when noya praises his serve and a stupid looking grin tugs at tadashi’s lips. noya-senapi’s way too nice !

With his hands to his hips and a tall looking stance despite how short he was Yuu stood in front of the taller boy. They had just finished up their small practice session and the libero thought maybe they could talk for a little longer.

                      “I want to talk about that serve of yours if you don’t mind.”

                    he was so loud, all the time. it almost made tadashi feel smaller in comparison to the second year, even with the height he’s got on him. it wouldn’t be too far fetched to call them opposites, but the other’s giant personality was kind of entertaining and tadashi wonders how someone so small could have such a BIG voice.

                    that snowball fight had gotten pretty intense. tadashi’s about eighty percent positive he’s got frostbite now, but he couldn’t complain. it was totally worth it. he’s sure the face he made when he tripped and slid down the that giant mound of snow was priceless, something hinata would definitely get a kick out of for the next century. tadashi sort of wishes he could have seen it himself.

                    he’s been trying to work up the nerve to scoot closer to her for the past ten minutes, sloooowly inching his way over. just being next to yachi has him feeling like FIRE. cheeks pink and palms starting to sweat. grossgross. she definitely won’t like that. he wipes them on his pant leg, awkwardly holding his arm up as he glances at her, wondering if he should make a move. ( just do it ! ) it’s hesitant, but he listens to the voice yelling in the back of his head, and places his arm snug around her shoulders.
