Well now DCVW, @vintageseiko, @seikoman35, and @bertnet69 have teamed up to bring an event five decades in the making, the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Seiko’s OTHER legendary automatic movement, the 6138 We are kicking off with a personal story each for our own 6138s – and would love to read a personal story about your 6138 – be it something you bought to celebrate a life event, a special event you wore it to, or how it saved your life – tagged, naturally, with the hashtag #Seiko6138fifty On to mine – the picture here represents my 6138 collection as it presently stands – my first was a 6138 UFO, which I purchased over 15 years ago. It has been my first choice to travel internationally with – to the Pyramids in Cairo, Amsterdam, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Singapore, etc. I was wearing it during one of my most important events in my life - telling my wife I loved her for the first time. For these reasons, I will never part with it! . . Fast forward and I added more like any good #seikoholic.
