@selaphi (sorry to respond through you but anyway), it's not "cheaper" to animate a guy, it's that the dude is already made and paid for (in time and money). to add a female main character would mean they'd have to spend the same amount of time and money that they spent on the male main character. it's not really "male char vs female char" it's "we already made this char and we really dont wanna make another one". they're being cheap dumbasses that's all it is.

It's not that it's cheaper--it's that they'd have to pay people additional hours to go make the female model :P It doesn't make it better (it should've been there from the start if they wanted to), but yeah. They just don't really have an excuse.
