Cloudhopper

Mistaken as a Wind Dragon, they are really a Water-Fire Hybrid.

Their bodies generate so much heat, their sweat and surrounding moisture cling like fur coating. This and their light bodies allow them to drift in air like mini clouds.

As young, they are raised in heavy moisture settings as their bodies do not generate enough sweat to create their coats. In captivity, the young are put in humidifier boxes to assist in coat building.

As the smaller of the dragon types, Cloudhoppers are of a mutualistic kind. Seeking other, larger dragons or docile creatures to nest and brood around for protection.

The most significate case of this studied so far, the relationship with the Copper Coil. The large Lightning Dragons use their extensive length to cast a wide net made of their ever-shedding whiskers to catch and feed on small insects, birds, and other flying prey. To conceal their trap, Cloudhoppers cling to their warm skin and hide the bulk of their partner.

When prey is caught, the Copper Coil swallows their food whole, generating heat to liquify their food for digestion, then the Cloudhoppers will feast on the Copper Coil's sweat made during digestion and thus produce more coating to help their large companion remain hidden.

This relationship is furthered as both species lay their eggs at the same time- Copper Coils will lay their own singular egg, while some of the Cloudhoppers will part from their flock to cover the egg to protect it from the elements, at the same time incubating the egg for prime hatching time when the parent and flock check in by mid-Summer.

Important Headcanons | Fast Facts: 

At a young age, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome by my father, which falls under the umbrella of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Because of this, I regularly have complications conversing with others and tend to avoid situations involving bright lights and loud noises whenever possible.

In my free time I used to regularly attempt meditation, take walks with my service dog, Ace, go through equipment checks, review cold cases, and plan patrol routes. Recently, that time has been eaten up with the war effort.

Never have I taken a life, nor will I of my own free will.

Stance on the War: The War is tiring and strenuous. It has been extremely taxing to upkeep the entirety of Gotham and still provide assistance to allies across the globe. However, this is not a fight we can back down from. This is not a fight I will loose. Abbreviated Bio: Full bio is in the works. When I was eight years old, my parents were killed in front of me. I swore that night that I would become strong enough to protect others from the same fate.
