Given the headcanon you posted, I’m curious how you think blue would handle what I mentioned there. :) like, about how blue would handle the other crewmates beginning to fear them due to actions of their host body while not being able to control what the imposter is doing
Oh boy ow wowie wow this is gotta shove me into some serious thinking territory.
An imposter Blue with this mindset might possibly be the worst imposter in history. They don't want to kill, they don't want to harm, they want to pull in these victims like a fungal-infected spider. They might harm if pushed to capture, they'll watch as they struggle, and as that spider- they'll watch and starve. Not a single morsel in their mouth will satiate the real emptiness in their host's gut.
The ghost of them is already dead. They've played their part and there is no one left to impress, no one to please, just a husk of ego long shattered. And the others after them will get a first view of how the doctor is truly nothing without them. There is no more hope for Blue to change now. They'll follow their form and there's sparks of "the doctor" in their expression when the crew early on show their love for the parasite parading around as Blue; But farther down the line they don't..... care.
The thing acting as them gets more and more obsessed with the dwindling numbers, its capacity for admiration being chewed out by its climbing thirst for violence. I see their first real kill- squeezing the life out of a crewmate because no amount of their pleasing distracts from the fear, nothing to placate "Blue" from taking out senseless aggression out on the poor soul they've singled themselves out with. And by then, its too late.
Blue's died a third time.
Once physical, seconded by soul, finalized with burden.
Slightly embarrassing to admit because this is all worded very beautifully, but I don’t really understand what you’re saying-
To try and make myself more coherent, sorry ; w;
Blue is a bad killer, at first. They don't take their advantages of easy prey because their mindset is fucked by the ironic-needs of the doctor. But the less focus the crew gives Blue over time, the less they have semblance to pretend and turns more into a psychotic pick-me. They're only going to devolve once the charm wears off, and it will not end nicely.
And ghost Blue is essentially a ghost of a ghost. Failing to register themselves in person or spirit. In this scenario, whoever "greeted" Blue first in the after life (that being the other imposter's ghost or future victim), didn't get anything back. The more crewmates that die, they're told not to bother with Blue. Blue is checked out.
But they don't want to leave the doctor behind (like afk in a game), so they take turns guiding Blue to other rooms.
i will make you feel things :]
