tried thinking about my main tekken self insert but honestly the more I tried the more I realise her original concept is just so lacklustre and just…. Idk uninspired? She was supposed to a fashion blogger who accidentally tapped into the powers of the fae, and it sounded fun on paper and works as a fun contrast to my (then self ship) with Eliza aesthetically but honestly if I try to think about said self insert from a gameplay perspective- I just can’t really think of anything and honestly an existing character in the roster covers the basis I had I mind from my self insert anyways: Alisa Bosconovitch.
So I’ve thought about other directions to take her in creatively, and I’ve come across one that is subject wise completely unfamiliar to me but also doesn’t really exist in fighting games…
the skateboarder. No seriously, characters in tekken do sometimes use a mode of transportation be it a bike, motorcycle, teleporting swords etc.
but I haven’t seen a fighting game character with a skateboard and that to me is ripe for perfect comedy + also is a brilliant idea for a Tekken Rage Art/finisher where a character beats their opponent over the head with their skateboard so hard to the point it snaps it in two, but the skateboarder just continues to smash you over the head with one of the broken parts of the skateboard until all of the parts break.
What I’m asking is… what if Tony Hawk was a fighting game character?
Inconsequential self insert lore to Shallow Candy: one time when she was like idk 3 or 4 and in Dr. Naomi’s care, she accidentally summoned a black hole (this is kinda the first time she’s aware she has abilities) in her room and her aunt almost fell over in shock because of it. Don’t worry it was resolved pretty easily, I mean she was a child afterall, but it did leave Naomi in a bit of a shock and also she’s learnt to keep an extra eye on her niece whenever possible.
i know i've liked. just disappeared for a large chunk of time, but I promised there is good reason for that. I've been busy writing up Griselda's profile, but I can share some details about her + their role in the series's story mode for certain games:
Spoilers for Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear 2 Overture
TW for some mentions of manipulative behavoiur and brainwashing (Griselda is the one being manipulated for the most part)
small notice: Griselda uses she/her, they/them and xe/xem pronouns!

Shallow Candy doesn’t actually have a proper ‘name’ per say, it’s more of an alias. In-game it implies she does have a name but anytime someone says it or it’s mentioned in subtitles - it’s either redacted or censored. The real reason for this is because I can’t really think about a good name for them. But the in-game reason is that it’s a super secret that would break the NMH universe and so therefore it’s a running joke that her name would just cause a supernova event if you dare say it. looking into the game files doesn’t offer a lot of help but it’s implied that maybe her name is like super duper mundane, but the actual name is never listed anywhere in the files.
thinking about making my shadows of the damned self insert to be on the more monster-ish side than human, considering how long they’ve been stuck in hell for and the times they had to actively hunt demons as the only form of food source.
I mean they’re not stuck as a monster, but they’ve gotten so used to their monstrous form so much that they don’t bother to go back to their human form. Also its just so much better for her to be in said monster form because it makes it easier to hunt and consume demons.
Basically they’re kind of like Christopher, but slightly more depressed but if they’re cornered they will become insanely feral too.
Fairy tail self insert but they’re op as heck.
Like. Cosmic levels op.
okay so my vampire the masquerade self insert is gonna be a gangrel (or brujah) who participates in death match wrestling because a) they can be a little more reckless than usual and not die but also b) you’d be surprised that you can actually turn a decent profit there because some kindred and ghouls are very much into the bloodlust.
I can safely say the kindred paying big bucks are like older generations of vampires who love seeing chaos, or that seeing blood be spilled in the ring is an art form. (*cough* toreadors *cough*)
As for how they were turned or ‘embraced’ if you will is something I’m trying to figure out currently but it was a like an impulsive decision by their sire who was really upset that it got out of hand (a stunt went wrong) but at the same time they couldn’t really bear to see her in such pain and so they turned her.
