Happiness is essentially a state of going somewhere wholeheartedly, one-directionally, without regret or reservation.

Welcome to your early midlife crisis!
It's been confirmed; I am a twenty-something going through an early midlife crisis. It's not like I didn't already know that, but thanks to a quick quiz in the introduction of Christine Hassler's book 20 Something, 20 Everything, it's been confirmed.
This book landed in my lap at the exact moment I needed it. It was suggested by a new friend and life coach who I found online. One day I was sitting at home feeling crappy about my current friend situation and decided that I needed to do something to surround myself with more like-minded people. I happened upon this site, and eventually found a group that was for 20-something women in Minneapolis - seemed perfect! I was incredibly nervous the first time we got together but I am so glad I made myself go inside. I ended up meeting two of the most genuine and inspiring women who share a lot in common with me. I almost feel like this group was made just for me. So far we have had two meetings and only the facilitator, her sister, and I have attended. While I wish more people would come for the facilitator's sake, I am secretly (or not so secretly anymore) grateful that it has just been us three. It is the exact setting I need at this time and has allowed me to open up. I am so thankful that I stumbled across this group and didn't chicken out of attending the first meeting - I will have to pocket this experience as a testament to the possibilities that can happen when we caste fear aside. I don't know where this group or friendships will go, but I do know that I was supposed to cross paths wit#selfh them at this time.
After our first meeting Hassler's book was recommended to me, and it took me about a month to get around to buying it, and a week to start reading it. But now that I started, I can't put it down! It is full of everything I need to hear right now and a ton of exercises to make me think. If you are a 20-something woman feeling like you are going through an early midlife crisis, please checkout this book!
