It was Harrison birthday but I got lost in the glorious fog of his entertaining guest who came as Bettie Page impersonator the lovely Erika Smith who kindly lent her talents to brighten my day and be the life of the party. Chris was good enough to bring her to the party. It was was also really nice to see Kate Linder and actually have time to visit rather than go through the motions of Yale t and event photographer. Kate has been on The Young and The Restless for forty years now. Sadly, Kat and Karen unable to come but dropped off an assortment of Godiva chocolates. I have lots of DSLR photos I’ll be sharing latter but for now these are what I nabbed on my cell. Liz called Erika a babe! and Erika made an excellent Bettie Page. I befriended Bettie Page on MySpace in the early 00s and we shared a few messages back then. She was very sweet old lady by then and now it’s hard to remember those conversations. But I know I praised her for her contribution as a mid-century sex symbol and iconic pinup model. Today was an occasion to celebrate mid-century nostalgia and ties it in with Harrison’s 39th birthday.
