Feedback from Self Model Question.

A lot of people have been telling me to be a model for my photography. 

That’s nice and all but it’s hard to be in two places at once (behind the camera and in front of it)...or is it? Mirrors are an awesome way to cheat your way to being a self-model. After releasing some pictures to a friend for advice they replied”

“These. Are. So. Freaking. Good. Like...there is a lot of realness in these self-portraits. You can see it in your eyes and the expression on your face. The one in color that is super close up on your face is a really interesting angle and I like how the camera focused more on your left eye than your right. It sort of tips the balance of the photo and just makes it visually interesting to look at. I like the cropping in the b&w one for the same reason. The way you cropped it just makes it so much more interesting than if it were a full photo. The one with the camera in the shot is really cute. It would make a great "about me" kind of picture, you know what I mean? These are really good. And using yourself as a model is the best way to practice photography because you can learn how to manipulate angles both behind and in front the camera, which will help you in taking stages photos when you have to direct your subjects.”
