Sunlight
Selected words: desire, rose, electricity, incapable, scars Being near you Inspires me Infects me Awakens me My desire for you heats my heart like the sun A thorny little rose growing in your light Shy and scared, but impossible to hide It blooms so hard the petals fall to the earth. My desire runs through me like a current Hot electricity in my veins lighting me up Shining like a signpost when you are there But keeping my body locked in place. Being near you Paralyzes me Like a weak child looking at the sun Through the dirty glass of a sickroom window Incapable of running outside to join it And too afraid of its heat to try. I’ve been burned so many times, And I have the old scars to prove it. By Selkiesong Edited by Monika

Is it common for daemons to switch genders?
not anymore so than it is for people. Some daemons are trans or genderqueer, just as some people are. They’re not a large percentage, and there is definitely some prejudice against them just like there are for same-sex daemons, but they exist.
They usually end up taking the shape of animals who can go back and forth between sexes, like certain fish, though there are some who don’t because after all, sex and gender are NOT THE SAME

Vlad wandered about the shore of a lake enjoying the cloudy day and he bent down and pick up a flat stone. Admiring the smooth surface he flicked his wrist sending it skipping across the lake with a satisfied grin on his face before looking for another stone to toss.
