I typically draw Selk in their robe/poncho-like garment they typically travel in, but at the occasional stops and breaks in their journey, they might get the chance to change!

Many of the cultures in their home planet ( Terra Sonalis ) value intricate and colorful design work. Outfits are usually layered together as means to ease heat/cover regulation and stylization.

Comfort is a priority, and the ability to have control to swiftly adapt your clothes to the requirements of comfort within different environments without any hassle is the core idea behind most of the craftsmanship!

It's uncommon to stumble upon a community whose traditional clothing are deliberately monochrome, but those do exist. Especially in hunting-oriented groups, for the advantage of camouflage!

The inspiration is mostly based on the various textures of the surroundings, be it landscapes, the fauna and flora, or the skies.

In addition to that, communities that inhabit shores will likely thread the sights of the sea and oceans to their patterns. Communities of river valleys, will have patterns reflecting their experiences, and so on. Having varied, colorful patterns and textures to wear are signs of well-travelled individuals, be it traders, cartographers, hunters, etc.

Since many of these garments are hand-made, they are meant to be cherished and valued for multiple generations. Sometimes, a larger garment will be re-used to make smaller sized ones and jewelry.
