♔ - their childhood

       "my childhood? ah, well to most it may seem like        quite the depressing one, yes... losing your parents,       having your dog get hit by a truck... being in diagnosed        with malignant lymphoma and frontotemporal dementia.        it does seem very unlucky, but it my case, all these        tragic events... are just a game of luck. i mean, it's        worth it to go through those events to get your family's        inheritance and freedom, to get a winning lottery ticket        and a letter from the one and only hope's peak.

      so, i think it's  joyfully tragic."

♕ - their teen years

      "quite exciting. it's nice to know my last years will be in such       a lovely environment! at least i hope it'd stay as lovely as it is!" 

♖ - their first friend

     "my first friend was my dog, lucky! but, for actual people.. after       i was dropped off in the dumpster by the serial killer, but before       i turned the lottery ticket in, i was questioned by the police. and       i would get breaks every now and then. and when i was on break       there was this lovely girl, my age or younger, who would talk to       me! she was so sweet, and was one of the reasons i got through       questioning so easily!

      i wish i knew her name. i never saw her again though."

About a year ago, war sparked out in a global scale, as nuclear weapons hit all major polar ice caps, flooding almost all of the world, plunging it into an eternal Sea. Most have died as a result, as some had to live with the tragedy, no matter what. 

Our survivor of focus is a young girl, name of Ayane Beniyama. She was out on the front platform deck of her large floating house, as she was fishing, her feet dipped into the water. Today was another boring day for her, as she just fished on, expecting nothing to happen.

   as the teacher finally walked back to her    desk, komaeda looked around for the specific    person he was meant to chat with for the     next thirty minutes.

   the girl's name was celestia ludenburg. when    it had been called out, he thought the name was    quite pretty, and whoever had been paired with    her was a lucky one.

   and of course, his name had been called right    after. ironic. 

   he saw a girl walking in his direction. dressed    in an distinctive lolita style. after studying    the girl for a moment, he looked up to her face.    the two drills by the side made his eyes w i d e n,    but before he could make an impression based off    that fact, he met her gaze.

   those piercing red eyes made it nearly impossible    to look away. and sure enough she sat down in the    seat in front of him.

         "hello there." he spoke after just a second of          thought looking at her with a small smile.

      ( at the sight of the gambler, nagito’s eyes widened just the slightest, and he let out a small puff of air in... amusement? it seemed he’s just giggled once, but with no noise. )
