Final Design Calendar Part 1 

This is my final design for my Calendar. Overall i’m very pleased with how it turned out. I wanted to go for a sleek and minimalistic design and layout. The suggestions I recieved from my Peer Presentations were very positive and I didn’t have to make any major changes. I kept the typography consistent cause before I had 4 different fonts and the general rule is to stick with 2.

Here are the concept illustrations for my calendar. what I decided to go with are the birthstones associated with each month. There colours are the circle represented with it. I went for this style because I thought it was conceptually cool to have the shape next to the outline as personally I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing. It also gives a minimalistic and clean style which is what I want to go for on my calendar.

Mindmap

Here I did a mind map of what kind of concepts I was interested in while keeping the theme of nature for the assignment in mind. I feel the concept I am leaning towards the most is something to do with astrology and planets. I want to also keep a very minimalistic and contemporary aesthetic for the calendar.
