The sports comedy was directed by Kent Alterman and written by Scot Armstrong. It stars Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, André Benjamin, Maura Tierney, Will Arnett and David Koechner.
At the 2008 ESPY Awards, the film won for Best Sports Movie. The other nominees were The Game Plan, Leatherheads and Resurrecting the Champ.
