Finally finished this a week after playing through it, it mainly took so long because i had to figure out the lighting.
this and a journey home are such an auspicious introduction to Fruma, and im so psyched to see how this resolves. Im really intrigued by the Mirror magician, no surprises there.
So in lieu of the upcoming Fruma update, i decided to revisit Balais!
especially how hes doing at the end of the Silent expanse, so i can better work out how hes going into Fruma.
further drawings and notes on his time in SE under the cut
Been a while since ive drawn him (september 2024). Im less certain that acolyte shaman fits anymore, so. i have come up with a solution.
he's every class at different times (bob reference). After he impulsively touched the portal, he became a fallen warrior, and then learned to call on spirits with Mael Twain's and Lari's guidance and slykaar's research notes after he cooled off in Nesaak, as an acolyte shaman.
the last one stuck till A Journey Beyond, where, faced with the unforgiving anomalies of the silent expanse, he took on a more tactical fighting style, as a trapper archer. He staid there for quite a while, until he found the Nameless Anomaly. fashioning a staff out of the ulna and radius of that interdimensional apparition, he became a riftwalker wizard. with his osseus crutch he managed to make his way through the archipelago, and back to the familiar ocean of Wynn.
He spent the last month recovering at Maxie's place in corkus, since he's the only one of his friends where he knows where he lives.
