A horrible clanging sound was emanating from the abandoned salvage yard. The source paused briefly to adjust their grip on their price, and then violently shook their head back and forth once more. The old pipe they were yanking on finally broke free, and the creature trotted away from the junk pile with a prideful whine.

“Finally!” Semtex crowed, though there was no-one around to show off to. He’d been looking for a good stick all week! The wooden ones were easy enough to find, but they barely lasted a few chomps. A metal one like this would last him at least a week, maybe more!

Easily hopping over the rusted fence that once enclosed the forgotten scrapyard, Semtex set out back the way he’d come, tail wagging. Now he just had to find someone who would throw this thing a few (or a dozen) times! He pricked his ears forward at a sound in the distance, and happily changed direction to bound towards it.

Oh boy! Time to make a friend!!
