Ghanaian based luxurious unisex brand, Sena Bryte employs an Ethical and contemporary twist in it’s A/W19 collection. The collection dubbed “Solo-Shime” was inspired by the grandmother of the brand’s Creative Director, who took over his husband’s occupation as a weaver after he passed away in Keta, a town in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The collection boasts of vivid color schemes all of which draws inspiration from the muse. Black was used in “Solo-Shime” to represent the pain and agony after the death of her husband. Gold, A snake textured fabric was used to represent her enthusiasm and energy. The color white which portrays victory was used to celebrate 10 years after her demise. Mauve, the hue of decadence, youth, and femininity was used as a statement to evoke purity and devotion.
