Attended an interesting event tonight. While #debate goes on in actual #Senate, I was viewing a #paneldiscussion in a #replica of the #SenateChambers at the #EdwardmkennedyinstitutefortheUSsenate by the JFK Library in #boston #massachusetts (certainly not an EXACT replica...). But the topic was the connection between incredibly divided political parties - and country - as the founding fathers (and many others, never mentioned...) tried to figure out how to balance powers. Discussion from both panelists and audience fascinating, but incredibly frustrating when you think of what the GOP is trying to do to OUR government. According to the panel tonight, our founding fathers (and many others) wondered for YEARS if this great experiment was going to actually succeed. I, too, am concerned today, wholeheartedly believing we are truly doomed if Republicans retain power of the House, Senate, or Presidency in November. (at Edward M.
