Are you no longer working on New Smut Project? :(

I'm not involved in the current call for submissions, no. Between working a 4/5 job and having a 10 month old child, I don't have a lot of free time. And while I do love reading and editing good porn, organising an antho like the current NSP one is in the best case scenario 10% actual nice submissions and 90% wading your way through submissions that are bad, infuriating, horrifying, or (often) all of the above - and right now, I honestly do not have the energy nor the patience for any of that.

I'm still fully behind the message and idea of the New Smut Project, though! Both in the sense that I do believe there's a market for well-written, diverse (in all aspects) erotica, and that fanfic writers who want to dip their toe into original sex writing are often great at it, but too insecure or unfamiliar with the market to truly get into it. In fact, I think almost, if not literally all of submissions sent by people who are primarily fanfic writers got accepted. So if you're considering sending something it but you're worried it's not good enough, or too weird, or you're too shy to try - please try anyway! I promise you, even if it doesn't end up accepted, it'll brighten the editor's day.
