Hello again Welcome to my Blog!
I came early at work and sign in my name to the log book and thought it is going to be another regular shift then one of the Guest Service Manager talked to me and said come meet me at Transborder. I was very excited and happy because that day I learned and experienced something new. She met all of us in the WestJet USA counter introduce me to the WestJetter that I worked with and briefed us about the work duties. I was specifically assigned in Oversized Baggage and Drop-off.
I was overwhelmed in a positive way. The rush started at 0600 until 0830, a lot of passengers were flying to the United States with Oversized Baggage mostly golf clubs and other sports equipment. I was surprised and glad that I did my duty that I was told and I did it right. I have successfully helped them checked in their bags and pets.
It was very challenging for me because first of all this was my first time and second I only had few minutes to listen and learn the proper procedure. It is not everyday I get a chance to do this type of work. Therefore, I tried to do it with the best of my ability and help my team at the same time. By the end of my shift I have met few Guest Service Managers, Guest Service Leaders, CATSA Agent and CSA which gave me positive feedbacks. I was very happy and made me want to work more in Customer Service Industry.
