Hello Everyone! My name is Jeremie and Welcome to my journey.
I started my training last October 7, 2021. I felt mixed emotion, it was nerve wrecking mainly because everything is new to me, new work environment, meeting new people and at the same time I was very excited because I know that this a stepping stone in becoming a successful Flight Attendant.
Thanks to Miss Strathearn, our supervisor who is very patience, experienced , knowledgeable who trained us. I learned a lot during during my training. First, I learned to familiarize of my workplace environment. She gave us a exciting tour around the airport, she showed us the WestJet office, the departure area, the arrival area and important places inside the airport.
In addition, she gave us a clear job description of what we will be doing as a Guest Service Ambassador in our Field Placement. Therefore, getting trained and learning from Strathearn gave me a lot of useful information and insight that I can use to be successful at work. Now, I can assure that I’m confident in assisting passengers. It was challenging at first because it was busy during the day. But, at the end of the day after assisting and providing helpful information to passengers makes me feel full filled. And with the pandemic that we’re dealing, people is experiencing difficulties in adapting the new procedure.
