Here is a re-design of my singular character from last year!

Meet CLOWN THING!

Their first recorded appearance was about 155 years ago. Ever since then Clown Thing - the only name that is known for this creature - has appeared and disappeared from history occasionally. 

Here is the pattern that has been noticed by those who care to look: a new clown will join a circus troupe traveling with them until their next stop. 

This clown would not speak, keep to themselves and always stay in character. 

The first night that they'd perform the crowd would become entranced - the clown thing being the highlight of the show. The following night, more visitors would seek out the circus tents and cheer and holler and celebrate this one of a kind performance. The third and final night before the circus packs their wagons full and travels on would be a sold-out house. Not a seat left empty, until... the last bow. 

No one who has ever lain eyes on the final night of clown things show has ever been heard of again. The circus tent deserted by morning. The wagons packed and rolling away over hills and thru valleys. But whatever troupe the clown thing travels with, would never set up camp anywhere else again, either. 

It is unclear where the circus goes and what happens to the other performers or their audiences. But clown thing only ever travels with the same circus once.

If clown thing comes to town go see them once, see them even twice, but do not dare to enter their tent a third time. 

After clown thing performs they disappear without a trace for months, sometimes years. But don't you worry they will return - a clown needs the laughter, a clown needs the applause.

So that is the legend of Clown Thing. No one knows where they came from, why they perform or when their next show will open. No one has even the slightest idea what clown thing may be...
