i keep thinking it should have something to do with seneschals-- oKAY YEAH IT DOES. IT HAS THE SAME ROOT BECAUSE IT'S ABOUT "OLD SERVANTS." people who have been with the master forever and are thus trusted. lovely.
also has fingers stuck in biology pies, therefore i MUST be invested. it's when you, a cell, has reached a ripe old age of can function but can't split and reproduce. In other words, cell menopause.
