Alright, school is in full swing so I’m hella busy and all remaining time I could dedicate to creative pursuits is going towards inktober right now. Thing is, I’m only posting my inktober stuff on my instagram, jones_squared_art, and not here because I don’t feel like going to the effort. So tumblr posts will likely not be anything recent and they might not be daily. Usually I just queue up a bunch of stuff and let it run, but we’ll see what happens I guess.

Anyway, this is my Senior Ad from my yearbook in 2015. Photoshopped it myself, you can tell I’m a very talented individual. I was going to a very small, fancy, and uptight school so I acted out in every way that I could. I had something of a reputation. One of my favorite parts of the ad was that it was a half page, meaning someone else had the other half. The other person who ended up sharing with me was a girl who worked as a model and her dad was on both the city council and school board (because they were the same thing). She was really, really wealthy. Her ad was the standard non-offensive color background with a few photos of the graduate and words from the family like “we’re so proud!” in a lack luster font. Her ad is almost invisible with my hot mess directly underneath it.

My dad asked me to write myself a letter on their behalf for my Senior Ad. Here is what I came up with: 

Natalie you were always our favorite. We tried our best to love our children equally but you made it difficult. As you go off to California next year know that we will miss you, and not even a yorkie-poo named Peanut could replace you. You’re humanity’s only hope; none of these other fools can change the world like you can. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to make sure the Howell name is remember and occasionally bail your siblings out of jail and bankruptcy. Don’t forget your mother and father when you are ruling the world! Love, Mom and Dad

Note: When my sister went off to college my Dad tried to replace her with a yorkie-poo named Peanut.
