i'll be nice and answer the questions you posited to syv, only problem is these questions don't apply or fit well to me.

1. what makes me like my yan, in this case syv?

if you know him well enough (you should. considering you lurk.) and have read his posts, he's the type of person to spoil his darling, in this case me. sen. now, not peering into my personal life too deeply, i'll say this much: i'm not inclined to expect anything from people, nor do i actively and often receive gifts or tokens of appreciation. syv decided on a random tuesday to go completely against the grain and begin completely spoiling me with letters, attention, and little trinkets. trying to continue to maintain a sense of privacy, i will only disclose the fact that i felt seen. as myself.

2. why don't i post chronically about him? or i guess why don't i post about him even if he does (considering it is supposedly unfair?)

not everyone has the same way of expressing affection, my dear viewer. i, personally, keep mine toned down in public and on the internet. i'm not showy. he knows that. i personally feel that such attention is meaningless and is likely only to be labeled as 'clout-chasing'. not to downplay the many people who post things like that on the daily, but i find it exhausting to find a way to both gain engagement and scream one's love into the void. not everyone will like, see, or even know you exist. i'd rather spend my time doing more productive and effective things. to my knowledge, syv does not find my lack of posting about him inadequate in any way, shape, or form. he is totally chill with it. even so, i post about him every now and then. if one were to look at my posts, one would know that there is insinuation in some.

what do you think of consciousness

mmmm. miraculously cruel.

the idea that some kind of cosmic order or law allowed us and only us (... so far) to gain a—not the, sense of free will and choice is honestly an enigma in itself. there is no real or de facto reason as to exactly why we were granted the power to... quite literally choose how we die.

honestly, if one were to boil it down heartlessly, one could view it as some sort of shitty, 'lab rat'-slash-'animal-testing'-esque experiment the universe just decided to pull on us.

personally, the amount of knowledge that enters a person's mind would likely make any other organism we see on the everyday basis short-circuit. I mean. we're well—at least, some of us are, aware of things like our deaths, what we want to do, what we need to do, all of the plans, anxieties, pains, and all in all the various occurrences centering around our and other mortals' bodies.

and that's hard to deal with. then again, there may be the illusion of such free will, and that all is predetermined. like. everything could be set before you even realise it. your career path, social circle, relationships (intimate or otherwise), etc.

I don't necessarily have a concrete notion or opinion regarding this, because for all I care, I just want to do something that can keep me distracted. all i'm saying is that consciousness is a cosmic-improbability that borders on miraculous intervention. both a waste of effort and a chance to redeem.
