I've always loved drawing little panel comics--I've never been very good at it, but I do love to do it anyway. This is the first time I've done one digitally.

When I got a sneak peak at the fic, I couldn't help but want to draw this scene as a little comic.

I just imagined his little legs shuffling away as he waddled down the hall.

I actually originally drew him as the sun, and Adrianna politely fixed my mistake. 🤣 All hail the mighty undo button.

Love Potion No. Oops Finale!

Guys, it’s done! It’s posted! We made it! Chapter 8 of Love Potion No. Oops is up! Many many thanks to @mochibuni for all her help this year. The fic wouldn’t be nearly as funny without all her input. From spit-balIing during the outlining stage, to giving helpful notes during the actual writing, she’s really been invaluable. Love Potion No. Oops chapter 6 is finally here!

This week, Minako spends a lot of time on roofs talking to people. Rei makes Jadeite chauffer her around. And Kunzite, *gasp*, talks.

And there’s a special treat, with 46 gdoc comments from the hilarious @mochibuni

It’s 10,096 words long. And I don’t know if that excuses it’s 3 week delay, but I hope it *sort* of makes up for it. In comparison, chapter one was only 2,460. It’s 4 in one!

And just getting ahead of this: I don’t think there will be an update next week. Mochi is going out of town, and since she’s acting beta, even if I do get myself back on schedule, she won’t be able to until she gets home. Buuuut, maybe I’ll get 7 and 8 done while she’s away.

Love Potion No. Oops update (ish)

So, it’s Thursday again, and while I (still) don’t have chapter 6 of Love Potion No. Oops ready for you, I did go through and add links to 55 silly screen shots from the Google Doc @mochibuni and I are working from.

So, that’s something.

I don’t expect anyone to go back and re-read to see them, but if you haven’t started yet, I think they’ll be a fun addition to the story.

I am working on the chapter! And, have been making progress. It’s just been slow. No excuses--I just haven’t gotten it done. --_(’.’)_--

Chapter 5 of Love Potion No. Oops is live!

It’s Thursday, folks. Before lunch even! Look at me go. This week in Love Potion No. Oops Chapter 5, Minako and Jadeite do what they probably should have done in the first place, even if they haven’t realized it yet. Not that it would have been as much fun. *shrug* Enjoy! I’m off to work on the last difficult chapter (I think. Maybe I’m being too optimistic?)

Day Three in the 2022 Rewind

Feels weird looking back on something I've just recently published, but to be fair, I was done in September.

Anyway! Rocks in Space!

My first male heavy cast. I mean, it's a full cast, but all the girls minus Chibs have small parts. Even The Return of Sailor V, with the guys in it, had a more female makeup than this.

It was fun writing them! I enjoyed exploring them in the more uncle-like roles. Neph during the liftoff scene is one if my favorite parts.

And having the freedom to really go nuts with her imagination was great. If I didn't want to write a scene, we just faded back to reality. 🤣

Originally, I tried to write this in 1st person, but I found very quickly that it was terribly awkward and almost impossible in some parts. Third person, past tense is definitely my comfort zone. 😅 One of these days I'll tackle a 1st person narrative, but nothing this long for sure.

Circling back, I was really proud of myself this getting done so early. I'm usually on the struggle bus when it come to meeting the October deadline. Which is WHY it was extra funny they extended it this year. I've been bouncing on my heels waiting to post.

So that's it for my year in writing. I do still have my two pieces of art to share for the SSMB2022. But you must wait a bit longer.
