Which crystals don’t like sunlight
Hello, friends and enemies! Today I’m going to address another matter about crystals that’s thankfully more discussed than the water problem, sun exposure.
Some crystals, because of their composition and the different lights in sunrays will brittle, fade or change color if exposed for too long, which can of course become a problem if you don’t know about it and your favorite crystal loses its beautiful gradiant (or become so different until you can’t differentiate it from the others anymore).
This is why, I brought here a list of crystals that will NOT like sun exposure for too long:
Agate
Amegreen
Amethyst
Ametrine
Anglesite
Apatite
Apophyllite
Aquamarine
Aragonit
Argentite
Auralite 23
Aventurine
Beryl
Calcite
Celestite
Chrysoprase
Citrine
Creedite
Diamond
Fluorite
Halite
Hiddenite
Kunzite
Lepidolite
Marcasite
Mercury Halide
Morion
Nepheline
Opal
Pyrite with humidity
Quartz, any type really
Rutile
Sapphire
Sodalite
Tourmaline
Topaz
Turquoise
Zircon
This list isn’t exhaustive of course, feel free to add more if you know sun-hating crystals!
Nota Bene: the issue of sun-exposure being the fading or degradation of their colors only, the crystals will not lose their properties, so you shouldn’t feel like your crystals are useless if they fade, it doesn’t mean they’re not usable anymore or that they’re full of negative energy, do not throw your crystals away because they faded!
