Liquid courage did a lot for the lush-- the ‘perks’ of a persistent daily consumption that built her resistance,(and maybe it brought an addictive affliction as well) though there were plenty of benefits. Hell, at some point it even won her a bet. But Cana was in no short supply of jewels and right now the company she kept offered her a...tantilizing distraction. The vision of beauty that currently captured her attention imbued the lush to action; despite her inebriation, she was keenly aware of everything: soft giggles, the tint of a blush, and a lingering gaze-- all signs of something curious.
❝Tell me somethin’ doll,❞ She began, her tone colored with a tease that invited a dare.

⭐️ Olexa only vaguely knows that the members of Crime Sorciere use to be criminals. But because she was younger and hidden by her parents she isn’t aware of what they committed nor does she care. Meredy has helped Fairy Tail a few time after the time skip and so Olexa considers her an ally.
⭐️ They both seem to have grown up without being allowed to be a child. So when they hang out, they tend to do mundane things. Just little things they usually don’t get to do being mages. Once Olexa feels more comfortable with Meredy the two even have sleepovers where they catch up.
⭐️ Because of this friendly bond, Olexa has no issues confiding Meredy, sharing her thoughts and emotions. It is hard for Olexa to open up about these things and there are a few who she expresses these too, but she finds Meredy easy to talk to and relates to her.
“sherry has died.” / shh, pretend i’m on chelia :^)
@windedshatter
reality splintered.
he heard what chelia was saying and all of a sudden, he felt like he was in a million places at once, just not in the only place where he should be. where he should have been. because whether chelia said it or not, jura knew. sherry had not just died. she was ( had been ) too young, too healthy for this. and he had only spoken with her days ago.
sherry had not died.
sherry had been killed.
in his ears, memories were ringing --- mocking him, twisting the knife in his heart. a million echoes of sherry's laugh. a thousand grins, toothy and a little dangerous. never enough days spent walking side by side.
and then, above all, his mother's voice and the sinking knowledge that she had been right when she had told him that on the day when he would truly know if he controlled his magic or if he was ruled by it, nothing would matter less than this question. he had not wanted to believe it then, had doubted that there could ever been something more important than the question if he would ever lose control and cause a disaster. but now he knew that she had known.
because right now, it would not matter to him if an earthquake would devour era. he might regret it, later, but right now, grief was all he felt. he had known sherry for years, had watched her grow. she had been family, the sister he had never had. the idea that she was gone, that she would never tease him again --- he could not comprehend it. and at the same time, in this very moment, the knowledge was overwhelming.
for now, there was no denying that chelia was saying the truth. denial would come later, anger would come even later. for now, there was just the knowledge and the realisation that he could not cope with this. that he did not know how to accept it and that he did not want to learn either.
“ no. she can’t have died. ”
‘hey orga! lookin’ to prank some new victims ?’ :-)
“ is that even a question? of course i am. i shoul’ show ya my notebook of ideas. ” she would just have to excuse his poor handwriting… if she could even read it, that is.
“she would be so proud of you. you know that, right?”

█▐ ❆ ࿐ᐤ A TOUCH, soft &&. non-threatening. Its gentleness was so unlike all the others he had known before and he barely suppressed a shudder, barely resisted pressing into it ( barely managed NOT to flinch away . . . )
He was shaking, and he didn’t know how to stop. He was aching, and he didn’t know how to make it stop. But her dainty hand found his SHOULDER, and the tears were too many—– &&. too pressing to crystallize before they eventually thawed into the soft, snowy ground.
“Meredy.”
A breath released, frosty mist sliding from gelid lips. His taunt muscles gradually loosened beneath the weight of her palm &&. Gray allowed himself to bask in her familiar warmth—– in the lightness that had his pulse calming, his thoughts SETTLING. That had his trepidations easing, for minutes– like fragments of seconds that bled into the eternity. And yet . . . in the contrary of their peacefulness, the cold of Isvan was ruthless around this time of the year. The mountains were implacable—– and the snow spared no one, offered NOT an ounce of sympathy.
( But such was the kind of coldness that he knew so well.* )
Eyes behind the cover of raven-feather locks seemed to glow with liquid moonlight, assessing his and Meredy’s handiwork in the snow. It was a REMEMBRANCE; a memorial marked by wood &&. stones that their battered fingertips could fabricate, next to the sepulchre of her mother. The initials had been engraved by the extremities of their mourn, and they need not pronounce her name.

Gray &&. Meredy, a pair both born of pain and loneliness. Of loss and ruined villages. Both hardened by the environments they were forced into. Both crossed path as enemies, and then as FRIENDS. They shared a common bonding with a woman: Ultear —- who was a mother, a daughter, a witch, an atoner, and also . . . a hero.
A HALF-SMILE weaved across his features, simple &&. calm. Isvan sky can hold a thousand tears tonight, but it remained dry && clear. Not even a cloud obscured the pin-pricked veil releasing heaven’s aurora light. Ultear has history, a story —- and not even time itself can erase her LEGACY. Wherever she is, and they might have an infinity of night skies inbetween them- but she was not forgotten. Even if her mortal existence is still present somewhere in the world, a monumental remembrance was what they had forged for her. It was the least they can do to commemorate her SACRIFICE. It was what she deserved.
Gray rose to his full height &&. remained by Meredy’s side; the back of his hand faintly grazed hers.
“——And of you.”
