30 Day Kaiju Challenge; Day 29; Apocalyptic
Name: Sentaurus
Age: Ancient
Height: 75 meters at the human head, 55 at the horse heads.
Description: One of the strangest monsters in all of the KogaVerse, is a beast that resembles a strange mixture of man and beast. The body of a horse stripped of skin, a man’s body from the waist up comes up from the middle. The skull like face has only a single, red eye in the large eye socket. One hand of the humanoid part is a sickle like weapon, while the other is a large bony shield. The horse body reaches the front as usual in a horse, but with four horse heads instead of a single one. Each head represents one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The Far Left is a skeletal head with a single green eye in the middle, the one next to it is the head of war, a metal plated head that vaguely looks horselike with an orange eye in it. The middle right is Famine, with thin skin and a gaunt look, and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Its single eye is a solid black orb that rolls around without thought or care. The Far Right is a horse head of white that exhumes vomit and plague bearing insects. Its one eye is a milky film of illness, rolling about with the shaking of its head.
Abilities
- Head Breaths: Each of the Four heads breathes out a stream of energy or liquid depending on the head. Death: Green Killing energy; War: Orange Lightening; Famine: Cone of Entropy; Conquest/Plague: Bile Beam
- Biological Weaponry: The scythe arm and shield are incredibly useful in battle, and have been able to destroy many an army
- Fear Presence: With the appearance of the Horsemen, most would be frightened on their own. The psychological waves that it emits only enforces this.
Weaknesses
- Unarmored Derriere: The backside of the beast is completely vulnerable, and open to attacks from behind
- Easily Distracted: For something that craves destruction, it can be easily lured away by something new intervening.
Backstory: Locked away beneath the sands of the Sahara it sat, a beast that only knew death and destruction. It had turned the land above it from fertile savannah to desert wastes, and had only been stopped there by a coalition of other monsters. But as it lay trapped, it knew that it would reawaken. Mankind would forget it, and then it would rise once more to wreak havoc. And in a sense, it was right. The ancient tomb was uncovered by archeologists, and the seal did get destroyed. In the sense of prophecy, the beast known as Sentaurus was unleashed into the world once more by unknowing scientists.
However, the world had changed greatly since the mighty Sentaurus was awake. Mankind had built buildings far large than him, were better armed, and had an entire slew of monsters nearby. He struggled little against man’s armies, even though it had injured him far more than previously. And when legions of monsters old and new attacked, he fought viciously. But the combined efforts of man and monster were too much, and the death of all life soon was beaten down into nothing. The body was taken into storage, kept isolated off the coast of Mortus Insula. There it sleeps, occasionally thinking it would escape and wreak havoc only to be sent back to the hole where it has been detained.
How They Interact with Other Kaiju: Sentaurus attacks on sight, attempting to destroy and dominate all sorts of creatures. Violence begets violence, but he leaves little for working late in battles, and usually requires assistance to be defeated.
Y’know what’s better than four horsemen? A nuckelavee with four horse heads that represents the apocalypse. Truth be told, it wasn’t too hard, and represnts the closest to body horror that I can get in the series. Which is good. This one’s disturbing enough as is.
Up next, the last one to do. But this one’s been waiting secretly in the background for years, just for you all to see him. And trust me, he won’t dissapoint. Hopefully.
