Didn't Hideaki Anno have some input in the making of Pacific Rim?

He is going to supposedly appear in the “Special Thanks" part of the credits, but people started saying that because it was listed on the IMDB page for Pacific Rim. As a lot of people know already, IMDB can be edited by anyone just like Wikipedia. Its just that though, a rumor. I’m pretty sure its been debunked but I don’t remember.
